Ans. A worm is a program very similar to a virus , it has ability to self – replicate and can lead to negative effects on our system . It can be detected and eliminated by any antivirus software .
Q2.Write any two points to prevent your Computer from Virus .
Ans.1. Install a good antivirus software .
            2. Be careful while downloading files from the internet .
Q3. What is an Antivirus Program ?
Ans. Antivirus is a security program which we install on our computer to protect it from getting infected by malware .
Q4. What do you mean by the term ‘Malware ‘.
The term “Malware” is a catch – all phrase for any type of malicious software , such as viruses , worms, Trojans and Spyware .

Q1. What is VIRUS ? How it may harm our computer ?
Ans. VIRUS stands for Vital Information Resources Under Siege. A computer virus is a program designed to harm or cause harm on a computer . It spreads through e-mails , portable devices .The virus can replicate itself and the infect the other files on the computer causing more damage . Some deadly viruses cause destruction to the computer .They destroy all the data and even completely damage the hard disk .
Q2. Why do people spread Viruses ? Give any four reasons .
Ans. People spread viruses to irritate the computer operators by stopping the natural functioning of a computer or harm the computer system .
Some other reasons are :-
1.     To make money
2.     To steal important information .
3.     To get attention in society .
Q3.How can you realize that your computer is infected with virus ? Write any five symptoms .
Ans. The symptoms are as follows :-
1.     Programs start unexpectedly .
2.     We hear unexpected sounds , played at random .
3.     We see unexpected messages or images .
4.     Our computer freezes frequently .
5.     We notice files and folders have been deleted or changed.
Q4. Name the various types of viruses .Explain any two types .
Ans . Various types of viruses are as follows :-
1.     Trojan Horse
2.     Macro Virus
3.     Polymorphic Virus
4.     Multipartite Virus
5.     Worms  
Trojan Horse : It can illegally trace important login details of users online .For example in e- banking .
Multipartite Virus – These viruses spread in multiple ways . It is a fast moving virus that uses file infectors or boot infectors which infect the boot sector .
